Nakedness

Here I am, completely naked, with only a towel around my waist. I know what you're thinking... and you're right, I did just get out of the shower. What's surprising is that it was the shower in my own house. I am home now for the first time since Friday. I didn't go on a road trip, I didn't go to jail, but I did have a random weekend that brought me to all sorts of different places. (This is why there was a couple days in between blogs).

On Friday it was my nephew Owen's birthday, like I said in my last post. So I headed over to his house in East St. Paul. I met up with Meagan and Jeremy on the way as well as picked up an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen. Mmm tasty! I hadn't eaten since lunchtime the day before, so it was nice to get lot's of lasagna in me! Mmm also tasty! So we hung out there for a bit, wrestled with the kids, took some pictures, and tucked them in to bed, and then I went to meet Jaybird at his work. I was a little early so I headed to Don Pedro's for a bit. Nice place there. I may have left them short a keg or two of Keiths... oops. From there Jay and I went to Bailey's and met up with Kmh. Then from there we went to Kingshead. Anyways, this is boring stuff.

Time to step this post up a notch. Below is a picture of me in a hat with a smoke in my mouth.

That being said, the next day I went to Meagan and Jeremy's house to install some doors. I got off to a slow start, I don't mind saying. I was a little sluggish from the night before and things weren't going too smoothly. Got most of the work done but it took me twice as long as it should have. So I planned to just stay at their house for the night and rest up for the next day, but whenever I decide to do that, it never works out. Ryan and Rachel were buggin me to come over there, but I just wasn't feeling the greatest. Most people that know me tho, know that I will rarely turn down a chance to hang out with buddys. Way she goes. So without even telling them I was coming over, I walked into Ryan's house, and the look in his eyes made it all worth while. So we hung out there for a bit and then headed to... dare I say it... Cowboys. Thanks for the ride Manny Bob! It'd been a while. The band there was terrible, making it hard to have a good time, but I powered through it. After Ryan and I went to some house way out in Royalwood. We just played fuseball for most of the time, then went to his house and crashed. I've included a couple pictures from Cowboys from when I used to live there.

Sunday I finished up the doors at Meagan and Jeremy's, that was a relief. I ended up just hanging out there and unlike the night before where I ended up going out, I actually stayed in and watched a movie and then went to bed. I still felt tired this morning when I woke up tho... oh well.

I have to confess something tho. I slipped. I had McDonalds late Friday night. I didn't use my better judgement. I didn't eat all of it tho, I kept a Junior Chicken in the fridge for the morning... unfortunately it tasted like potato salad? What up with that? Needless to say, two thirds of that ended up in the garbage.

Ryan, here's a picture taken the first day I met you. I will not name the person in the photograph. Cameron Friesen might get mad if I do that.

Anyways, I'm off to go take a nap... or maybe go out for a night on the town again?

Notorious O.J.P.

Well, it's the time again. As I write this blog I am also downloading Sim City 4. Apparently Kyle Heinrichs and I can join cities online and be awesome together, so I figured why not. I am also currently listening to Miranda Lambert's album titled, "Crazy Ex Girlfriend". I thought it was kinda fitting... I think we know why.

I just got back from picking up my sister and brother-in-law and nephew from the airport. They were in the Florida Keys for a week and a half or so. I like to go to the airport early if I ever have to pick anyone up. Being up in the observation area, sitting back with my shoes off and feet on the heater is one of my favorite places to be. It gives me a nostalgic feeling, more so than most other places. For some reason I love it. Anyways, Meagan and Jeremy were both pretty tanned, and Aaron was a little cranky. Probably 'cuz he was coming back to cold weather. Don't blame him.

Today at work we installed 4 windows and a patio door. Normally this would be a cakewalk and we'd feel some sort of gratification at the end of the day, but not after today's job. I know people aren't as passionate about windows and doors as I am, but if you're ever in the market, do yourself a favor and stay as far away as you can from Weathershield Windows. The price may be appealing, but the poor quality and headaches that come with the price are seriously not worth it. As a company we take pride in highest quality installations, but when you have a product like that, there's only so much you can do. Not cool. Anyways, if you, or anyone you know is looking for windows and doors, send them to me. I'll look after them. Here's my business card, don't be scared to share it with the world.

So yesterday I went to Original Joe's for the first time. I was originally intrigued by this new restaurant because it is really close to my house. Debrah, Warner and myself headed there for lunch, and although there was a couple mishaps, they were quick to rectify the problems, and we ended up getting some food and drinks on the house. Extremely pleasant experience. So what did I do? I went back there later... not once, but twice. I think I've found a new watering hole. Anyone care to join me anytime soon?

Tomorrow is Owen's 7th birthday. Holy heck! He's gettin' old quick. I'm gonna head over there for his birthday dinner after work and possibly sleep over there. Then Saturday I'm gonna head to Meagan and Jeremy's to install some doors in their basement. Should be good times. Last year I bought Owen a guitar for his birthday. I wonder what I'll get him this year? I guess I should have thought about that before now... oh well, what can I say? I'm definitely a last minute shopper. Anyways, this blog is dedicated to Owen James Park.

That's all for tonite.

Ryan M, thank you for updating your blog.

You're The Inspiration

Alright, so I'm still on cloud 9 from an epic event that just took place. This probably won't mean anything to anybody, but I just drove Jay home. No big deal. What IS a big deal tho, is when I pulled out of his driveway I turned on the radio and it was on 102 Clear FM, and what was playing? You're The Inspiration by Chicago!!! So I cranked her up, called Jay, and sang it to him over the phone. The bad part is that my voice STILL is not quite back from Ryan Malech's birthday at the Kingshead. What up with that? Anyways, that whole experience has me a little shaky right now. I actually have to pee so bad I can taste it.

So tonight didn't work out as planned thanks to Windows Vista and it's severe case of homosexuality. Is burning a DVD such a hard thing to ask for? Geezaloo I say. All I wanted was to burn one season of The Wonder Years. One! Winnie Cooper, you will be mine one day, just you wait. (Don't tell Kevin Arnold).

This morning I decided that I wasn't going to drink alcohol on week nights anymore. Just lettin' you know.

Anyways, so I just got back from havin' a few beers at Boston Pizza. Good times! Ordered the Mama Meata Penne and took a stroll down memory lane with my friend Old Vienna. She's doing well. On the drive home, Jay and I talked about the old days. It's funny how the bad times we experience (as seldom as they were) back then are awesome memories now! Like getting pulled over after my license had been suspended for 15 minutes. Not a cool story to tell at the time, but now it's all good!

I was happy to hear that some people thought my Twitter status was funny. Ryan even went so far as to say he'd never laughed that hard in his life, which I know is an exaggeration, but made me feel good at the same time. Then I was drivin' home and that happiness turned to sadness, as I realized that everybody laughed at my status, and never even answered the question I asked! Holy heck. I think it's legit tho. Someone is in for one heck of a ride. They don't know it yet, but they don't wanna take that ride.

On that note, I keep getting calls from an "Unknown Number"?

Work was great today. Finished up a couple large windows we installed yesterday. I even made the healthy choice and bought Subway today... why is it twice as much to eat healthy? Better yet, why can't a Double Cheeseburger meal with Coke and a Junior Chicken be super healthy for you? I think if that were the case I would be the healthiest person ever. I told Warner I was off the McDonalds. He said that McDonalds will wonder why their sales for this quarter are so low... I feel bad.

(July 2007)

Anyways, I'm off to Facebook. (I'd say I'm off to bed, but I know that's not true).

Have a good nite!

Better Life

I never thought I'd ever have a blog, but here we are. Actually, I've had a couple blogs before but my posts were always... gay. They were about love gone bad and just a poor negative outlook on life really. But this blog here my friends represents things getting better. There have been people and things that have happened lately that have changed me and brought me to that next step in my life. I finally feel like I have some things going for me, and I have the support of friends, family and last but certainly not least, co-workers.

With this blog I kick off this new part of my life.

I'd like to thank 3 people for inspiring me to start a blog. Jennifer, Ryan M, and Manny G. Hopefully this encourages Ryan to maybe update his blog. To all my friends and family that are accompanying me into this new chapter in my story, I appreciate you more than you know. Good buddy's are what keep me going, and have kept me going in the past. You are the Rolo to my Ice Cream. The frigid temperature to my OV. The hot sauce to my pizza.

Till next time...
